How can we enhance the experience for top executives with limited time to efficiently assess the global performance of regions and expedite the decision-making process?
My Role and Process

The project brief was very straightforward and we started off with extensive research, to understand the intricacies of how the current system was working. We delved into a lot of evaluative research to understand the problem at hand. We worked closely with the stakeholders - the data management team, data analysts from various work streams and developers to be aware of the data that was involved and how to collaborate and streamline it. As we were dealing with a lot of data sources and heavy amount of confidential data that is critical, it was very important for us to work closely with the individual team to validate our direction. We facilitated workshops with workshops with teams to map the information flows, work flows, requirements and identify value.
We employed the waterfall methodology here with in-depth and structured analysis as the first step followed by designing, developing, and testing to ensure accuracy, consistency and meet deadlines.

Constraints

Like most projects, time was a major constraint. We had just a little over a month to come up with a solution of how we were going to go forward and with what tool. A few of the other challenges we faced were getting access to the data sources on time, choosing Tableau as a platform which came with certain limitations and interaction with end users because they were Top Executives with busy schedules.
